Attend this Dream Catcher Workshop, led by teacher, Dona Yahola, Ojibwe Indian, and learn about the tradition and cultural significance of the dream catcher. Also, learn how to make your own! Dream catcher materials are supplied.

Twilight Tuesdays at Greendale Public Library

Atwood Players - Good Night! Stories
June 19th - 1:00pmStorytelling at its finest by Alan Atwood, tales include Coyote and Porcupine, The Brave Little Tailor, and Rip Van Winkle. The audience will participate in each tale and will work together to create the final "Good Night" story.

Nature in the Parks: Welcome to the Night!
June 26th - 1:00pmZip, zap, zoom! The little brown bat in an adaptation of Kathy Darling's book, Little Bat's Secret, introduces children to teh mysteriesof the world after sunset. Following an interactive telling of this story, children will play a game of 'moonlight tag,' a variety of activities to allow children to discover more about our nighttime neighbors. It promises to be more fun than your wildest dreams!

Sky Hunters: Night Owls - Schlitz Audubon Center
July 10th - 1:00pm
Wisconsin is home to a variety of native owls, each with special adaptations that help them survive in the wild. The audience will have the experience to view LIVE owls, touch artifacts and hear owl calls - sometimes from the owls themselves! LIVE OWLS at this program!

Wehr Astronomical Society
July 17th - 1:00pm
Join David Beine from the Wehr Astronomical Society and learn about the solar system! Also learn about different kinds of telescopes, and weather permitting, we will go outside for solar viewing and learn how to safely view the sun through a telescope!

INCREDIBLE BATS!

Discover the world of BATS! Daniel and Sharon Peterson from "Incredible Bats!" will tech us all about bats, and how beneficial these misunderstood creatures are to us and the world around us.
LIVE Egyptian fruit bats at this program!!

*Space is LIMITED. Doors open at 12:45pm - we will start handing out numbers at 12:30pm. Programs range from 45 minutes to 1 hour.*

75th Anniversary Library Card

The Village of Greendale celebrates its 75th Anniversary in 2013. To mark this special event, the Greendale Public Library is pleased to announce the release of a limited-edition Greendale 75th Diamond Anniversary library card!

The commemorative card is available now. Each card comes in a set containing 1 wallet-sized card and 1 key tag. The card features Greendale's official 75th Anniversary diamond-shaped logo on a brilliant green background.

Anniversary cards will be issued free of charge to new cardholders. Current cardholders may purchase a commemorative card for a $1.00 donation. Proceeds go the Greendale Public Library Foundation, Inc.

Tax Forms at the Library

Each year during tax season, the Greendale Public Library offers a supply of widely used state and federal income tax forms and instructions for the public. The forms and instructions are available free on a table located near the front entrance of the library. This year, we will begin putting out tax forms after January 3, 2012. Forms are put out as they are received from the government agencies.
